This first picture is a close-up of the oscillating shuttle assembly for those of you that are only used to seeing "conventional" rotating shuttle machines. The little felt pad is for lubrication.
This is the newer of the two Jones machines, complete with the foot storage box under the handle.
This is the older of the two machines. The gold embellishments aren't in as good condition. This machine doesn't stitch backwards either - the newer one does. Also, you can see the different designs of the bobbin winder. The newer machine has a cam-type gadget to ensure an even wind of the thread. Well, that's the theory anyway !
A closeup of the Jones logo on the machine showing the superb quality of the finish. If there's any part of these machines you'd like a close-up of, please drop me a line and I'll see what I can do.
